Departmental Advising & Support

We offer drop-in comprehensive major and minor advising in PLC 736 with ASU2 staff. Economics majors can also make an appointment with the Director of Undergraduate Studies or the Academic Program Manager to discuss more nuanced advising issues. The department coordinates with the Tykeson Center for College and Career Advising (link), where students can also find help on questions related to degree progress.

Our Undergraduate Coordinators are available to assist students with the following:

  • Understand the economics major and minor requirements
  • Choose courses to meet necessary prerequisites and/or major/minor requirements
  • Look ahead at upcoming course offerings to prep for advising appointments
  • Complete registrar forms such as late graduation petitions, tuition refunds, and grade changes
  • Coordinate prerequisite and/or enrollment overrides (with faculty approval)
