The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department is affiliated with many other research centers on campus who examine gender in relationship to race, colonialism, ability, sexuality, class, and other lines of difference.


Affiliated Centers and Institutes

Center for the Study of Women in Society (CSWS)

For the past five decades, the CSWS has promoted feminist scholarship at UO by creating, funding, sharing, and supporting research that addresses the complicated nature of gender identities and inequalities.

Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies (CLLAS)

CLLAS is a knowledge center dedicated to public access and excellence through the integration of teaching, research, community engagement and dissemination. It facilitates collaborative research, scholarship, intellectual community, and community outreach focused on Latin America and U.S. Latino/a populations.

Oregon Humanities Center (OHC)

The OHC is the primary interdisciplinary umbrella organization and research institute for the humanities at the University of Oregon. It sponsors a wide array of free public programs designed to provide a forum for discussion of and reflection on important issues.
