Graduate Student Equity and Inclusion Resources

As part of our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive department, university, and discipline, the Department of Political Science encourages graduate students to join caucuses and networks for populations underrepresented in academia, such as:

Students who are interested in exploring issues of identity and inclusion in their coursework and research should consider participating in the Politics, Culture, and Identity Graduate specialization.

Students should also be aware of the following on-campus resources related to equity and inclusion, and problem or grievance resolution:

  • Office of Affirmative Action & Equal Opportunity: Students can explore both confidential and non-confidential resources, discuss a concern or make a report related to discrimination, harassment, or other issues.
  • One Stop Graduate Student Resources: Provides 24-hour access to the information you need. Find help with academic and research resources, funding and financial aid, registration and classes, costs and billing, housing and dining, wellness and safety, campus life, and diversity and family resources.
  • Title IX: Provides information regarding the Student Sexual and Gender-Based Harassment and Violence Complaint, as well as Response Policy, reporting obligations, and links to online trainings regarding prohibited discrimination and bias.
  • UO Safe: Provides support for victims and survivors of sexual assault.
  • Center on Diversity and Community (CoDaC): Students can explore programs and initiatives related to equity and inclusion.
  • Graduate School Problem Resolution Resources outlines resources and processes related to concerns and grievances:
