Travel and Study Around the World
Study abroad is a unique experience that often leads students to personal growth and cultural immersion, and one that can help develop academic and professional skills. The University of Oregon offers more than 200 study abroad programs through the Global Education Oregon (GEO) office that can fulfill your Global Studies major or minor requirements while providing a uniquely immersive experience.
Intercultural Experience Requirement: The Global Studies Major requires significant intercultural experience (minimum of 10 weeks). This requirement can be fulfilled by studying abroad or an internship abroad. There are hundreds of programs to choose from and internships can be individually tailored to your interests and goals. Most summer programs do not satisfy this requirement because they are less than 10 weeks.
