Many students choose to pursue a specific research topic through an honors thesis. We offer multiple ways to get involved in research at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Research Opportunities– Require case-by-case approval by Director of Undergraduate Study
Individualized Study Registration required, with credits overseen by faculty supervisor. Can be completed any term.

These experience proposals can include remote internships or local/domestic experiences.
- As is standard for international experiences that satisfy the Intercultural Experience Requirement, these experiences should equate to a full-time 10-week experience (roughly 40 hours per week x 10 weeks = 400 hours).

Other ideas – Require case-by-case approval by Director of Undergraduate Study
Students may submit proposals for other courses/opportunities to count – those will also be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. For example, if you want to participate in an intensive language study, you might consider putting together a proposal for that experience to count towards your Intercultural Experience requirement.
