Geography Club

Geography Club provides a place for undergraduate and graduate students to work together on events and projects that are related to geography… And there is a lot in the world around us related to geography! Students work to promote geography and geographical thinking on campus and in the community through events such as humanitarian mapathons, visiting local schools, networking with alumni, and learning more about the research labs in the department.

You do not have to be a geography student to join, and we welcome anyone who is just interested in what geography is and what geographers do.

UO Student Chapter of the ASPRS

As a student chapter, the UO ASPRS strives to provide students access to and interaction with professionals in fields using remote sensing and geospatial analysis. The chapter raises and provides money for student member travel grants and research funding awards, and actively attends Columbia River Region ASPRS activities and workshops. In addition, the student chapter brings guest lecturers to the UO campus to speak on topics of interest in the geospatial sciences.
