The diversity of peoples, cultures, languages, and environments makes the study of Latin America an exciting intellectual adventure. Students can complement their major requirements by exploring courses in anthropology, ethnic studies, philosophy, geography, Romance languages, history, global studies, and environmental studies.

The Latin American Studies Program is ideal for students who wish to explore literature, science, politics, art, media, and languages through a cultural lens. Throughout the year, LAS students and faculty participate in lectures, film series, exhibits, conferences, and workshops that enhance our engagement with this vast, diverse region.
