How economics and marketing work together

Alum Joseph Wyer will discuss the how economics and science can come together for modern marketing. His talk “The Science of Modern Marketing” is 2-2:45 pm Friday, May 8, at Lillis 182. The event is organized by the College of Arts and Sciences Department of Economics.

Wyer is an alum of the College of Arts and Sciences. He graduated with a PhD in economics in 2016 and a master’s in 2012. He is the chief of science at Haus Market Science and technologies. Before joining Haus, Wyer worked as an economist for Amazon and the Federal Communications Commission.

Haus is a San Francisco-based marketing platform brings together marketing, data, and science leaders from some of the world’s largest and most iconic brands. Haus has worked with clients such as Dr. Squatch, Sonos, and Paramount to optimize ad marketing decisions.
