Hello graduates! As you head into finals week, we have some information regarding your departmental graduation ceremony and what you can expect. If you have questions that are not covered in the information below, please reach out directly to the Event Coordinator.
Arrival Time: Graduates should arrive an hour before the ceremony starts and check in at the designated table. There will be staff on sight wearing Green "Oregon" shirts that will direct you to the check-in table. Check-in is behind the guest seating.
Seating:
Graduates: Graduates will be directed to line up after they have checked in. From there, they will be escorted in the procession to their designated seats near the front of the stage.
Guests: General seating is available on a first come, first served basis. There will be plenty of seating available. ADA seating will be available for guests that require it in addition to the general seating.
Time, Date, Location: The Economics ceremony is taking place at the East Campus Green, behind the Museum of Natural and Cultural History at 4:00pm, Monday June 16th.
Ceremony Duration: The ceremony will last 2 hours. Once seated, graduates will be expected to remain seated for the ceremony until they are instructed to stand and walk across the stage. Please remember to pick up all items that you have brought with you before you leave, as they will not be held or collected.

Monday, June 16th. Parking is limited and first come, first serve across campus and on neighboring streets. Please allow for extra time to find spaces to park. A shuttle will be moving throughout campus to transport guests. The link above has a map showing ADA parking and the bus route around campus.
Guest Tickets: For the Department ceremonies, guest tickets are not required. There is no limit to the number of guests that can attend.
Hydration + Weather: There will be one water station near the location of the ceremony, however we recommend bringing your own water bottle to remain hydrated. The ceremony will proceed, rain or shine, so please bring appropriate attire like a rain jacket as needed.
